NovaPath Academy enrolls students in grades K-12 as an umbrella school for homeschooled students, giving families a flexible path for private school enrollment, academic records, evaluations, transcripts, graduation support, and optional online coursework.

NovaPath Academy provides structure where it matters, while keeping families in control of the student’s educational path.

Umbrella School Enrollment

NovaPath Academy enrolls students in grades K-12 as an umbrella school for homeschooled students. Students from any state are welcome to register, and Florida homeschool students may enroll as their school of record instead of their local district.

Curriculum Flexibility

Students may choose from NovaPath Academics online courses, Florida Virtual School, Teaching Textbooks, Saxon Math, Abeka, BJU Press, Apologia, McGraw Hill, and other grade-level curriculum options aligned with national or state education standards.

Scholarship-Friendly Services

A la carte education services provided by NovaPath Academics are eligible for direct payment through the Step Up for Students provider marketplace.

College & Career Pathways

High school students can access dual enrollment opportunities through multiple university partners, transcript support, graduation planning, and guidance for college admissions and Bright Futures applications.

Student Support

What NovaPath Academy can support.

Families can use NovaPath Academy for school-of-record enrollment, evaluations, testing, transcripts, diploma pathways, athletics eligibility support, and flexible coursework.

Annual Evaluations & Testing

NovaPath offers annual portfolio evaluations for Florida home education students, as well as standardized testing that can be proctored at home or at partner locations.

Transcript Services

Transcript evaluation services are available for home education students, including records from homeschool co-ops, CLEP exams, stand-alone courses, FLVS, and other homeschool programs.

NCAA & NAIA Portal

Students interested in college athletics can submit transcripts, stats, game tape, and more through their portal to potential coaches. Specific courses are required for this service.

Graduation & Diploma

Students who meet NovaPath Academy’s curriculum completion requirements are eligible for official transcripts and a high school diploma.

Bright Futures Guidance

Florida students may be eligible to earn Bright Futures Scholarship support for Florida colleges or universities, and NovaPath can help families understand the process.

NovaPath Academics Courses

NovaPath Academics offers small online classrooms, responsive teachers, flexible pacing, and no hard deadlines, allowing students to work at their own pace with support when needed.

High School Pathway

Graduation requirements with a clear academic path.

Students who complete NovaPath Academy graduation requirements may be eligible for official transcripts and a high school diploma.

English 4 credits including Literature, Composition, or a combination of English coursework.
Math 4 credits such as Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, college prep electives, or approved alternatives.
Science 3 credits such as Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, or other approved science courses.
Social Studies 3 credits such as Geography, World History, U.S. History, American Government, or approved equivalents.
Electives 10 elective credits, including approved coursework in foreign language, physical education, technology, fine arts, practical arts, internships, music, religious studies, and more.
Service Community service may be counted toward credit, with 160 hours equal to 1 credit and 80 hours equal to 0.5 credit.

Registration is effective July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. Parents remain responsible for choosing courses, curriculum, programs, and activities that meet the student’s educational goals.

Basic Umbrella School Program

Grades K-12

$475 / school year
Registration effective July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027.

Premier Umbrella School Program

Grades K-8

$825 / school year
Registration effective July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027.
  • Includes all core umbrella school enrollment support.
  • Unlimited Choice Navigator services throughout the school year.
  • Support selecting courses, curriculum, programs, and activities.
  • Includes one standardized test or annual evaluation.
  • Discounts on NovaPath trips and events.
Add-On Package

NovaPath Academic Courses

Families can add NovaPath’s work-at-your-own-pace online courses for grades K-12, including core classes and dozens of electives.

This add-on can be combined with your umbrella school program and broken into 10 monthly payments.

  • No additional registration fee for courses.
  • Includes Core 4 self-paced classes: English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies.
  • Students may switch one course into a teacher-supported course for free during the semester if needed.
  • High school students can add one free elective course or dual enrollment course.

Curriculum Options

Students enrolled in NovaPath Academy may choose from NovaPath Academics online courses, Florida Virtual School, Teaching Textbooks, Saxon Math, Abeka, BJU Press, Apologia, McGraw Hill, and other curriculum options that demonstrate a systematic progression of grade-level instructional material aligned with national or state education standards.

Dual enrollment courses for high school students are also available through multiple university partners.

Annual Evaluations or State Approved Annual Testing

For students registered with their local school district as Home Education students, NovaPath offers annual portfolio evaluations. Dr. Krista Mallo has been a Florida certified professional educator since 2001 and holds certifications in English for grades 6-12, ESOL for grades K-12, and ESE for grades K-12.

NovaPath also offers several annual standardized tests that can be proctored in the home or at partner locations and may meet state or scholarship requirements.

Transcript Service

Transcript evaluation services are available for home education students. This may include records from homeschool co-ops, CLEP exams, stand-alone courses, FLVS, or other homeschool programs.

Students within the program receive a certified transcript when they transfer or graduate.

NCAA, NAIA, Bright Futures & College Planning

Students interested in college athletics can use NCAA and NAIA portal support to submit transcripts, stats, game tape, and additional academic verification materials. Specific courses are required for this service.

Florida students may also pursue the Bright Futures Scholarship for Florida colleges and universities, and NovaPath can help families understand the application process and academic planning involved.

NovaPath Academics Online Courses

NovaPath Academics is designed to avoid the overwhelm common in online programs. Students work in small online classrooms with responsive teachers and flexible pacing, with no hard deadlines.

Students can get work done at their own pace and receive help from a teacher when needed.
