President/CEO
Alex Christopoulos
Alex Christopoulos is an accomplished education entrepreneur and executive with a proven track record of building, operating, and advising successful educational organizations. He is the Founder and CEO of School Choice CPA & Associates, one of the nation’s largest education-focused accounting and advisory firms, as well as the Founder and CEO of School Choice Solutions and Emergent Kids Preschool.
Throughout his career, Alex has held senior leadership positions with some of the education industry’s most prominent organizations, including serving as an executive with one of the Tampa Bay area’s largest education management companies and as Vice President of Business Development for a top-ten international education management organization. His experience spans educational operations, strategic growth, financial management, organizational development, and the creation of innovative programs that meet the evolving needs of students and families.
Alex’s vision for NovaPath Academics is to deliver a flexible, high-quality academic experience that combines personalized instruction, innovative technology, strong educational standards, and meaningful support for every learner. Under his leadership, NovaPath is building a scalable and trusted educational model designed to serve homeschool families, private schools, microschools, co-ops, and students seeking an effective alternative to the traditional classroom.
Chief Academic Officer
Dr. Krista Mallo
“Great pedagogy meets fearless problem-solving.”
Dr. Krista Mallo leads NovaPath’s academic vision and curriculum design, drawing on more than 20 years of experience in K-12 and higher education. As co-founder and President of the Florida Academy of Excellence, she built dual-enrollment pathways that let high-school students graduate with an Associate of Arts degree and spearheaded full LMS, SIS, and scholarship-compliance integrations.
Previously, she has chaired high school and college academic departments, hiring and mentoring multidisciplinary faculty while teaching composition and literature in multiple modalities.
Dr. Mallo holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction and an M.A. in English Education from the University of South Florida. Her expertise in program accreditation, faculty development, and school-choice advocacy ensures every NovaPath course meets rigorous academic standards while remaining flexible for today’s learners.
